Kiuwan Joins our Testing Tools Family

Idera, Inc. Acquires Kiuwan and Bolsters Testing Tools Business with Application Security and Code Testing Capabilities

Adding security to DevOps processes will empower developers with state-of-the-art insights and analysis

HOUSTON – Oct. 5, 2018 – Idera, Inc., parent company of global B2B software productivity brands, today announced the acquisition of Kiuwan, a SaaS solution for measuring and analyzing risk and security in the software development lifecycle. Kiuwan will join Idera, Inc.’s Testing Tools Business, which also includes TestRail and Ranorex Studio.

In an ever-changing technology landscape, security teams must be nimble and ready to adapt as evolving business requirements and threats dictate new or modified policies and tools. Unfortunately, in most companies change management processes are slow and inefficient, impeding agile development processes.

Kiuwan’s application security testing platform provides a complete overview and impacts analysis of software architecture in minutes, reducing risk and improving change management and DevOps processes that historically required hours or days. The solution integrates with leading IDEs, builds systems, bug tracking tools, and repositories to detect and eliminate vulnerabilities, and provides full compliance with security standards all at a significantly lower price than competitors.

Kiuwan has more than 200 customers in 25 countries, including AXA, BBVA, BNP Paribas, Carrefour, DHL, Ferrovial, KFC, Telefonica, Banco Santander, Roche, Siemens, and more.

“Kiuwan’s cloud native solution demonstrates significant speed and innovation while helping companies manage the security of business applications and improving overall testing efforts,” said Wilson Warmack, general manager of Idera’s Testing Tools Business. “We look forward to integrating these capabilities with our TestRail and Ranorex solutions to make application security testing an easier and more integral part of testers’ workflows.”

“Our mission is to provide objective data that helps organizations make informed decisions about the risks associated with mission-critical applications,” said Jesus Martin, CEO of Kiuwan. “Joining forces with Idera expands our ability to serve customers as we expand functionality to maintain our leadership position in the SecDevOps market.
